^_^ This was drawn over periods of time in about a week. I used watercoloured pencils and markers.
This character has always been in my head, ever scence I took art seriously. It is surprising I have never drawn him before! He turned out just like I wanted to though!

Yeah, I need to work on scenery--- and HANDS. *omg*
Someone asked why my characters all looked young and about the same age. That is because I use myself for reference ^^( )n There is a mirror in front of my drawing desk.. so I guess it is hard not too!

Well... Enjoy =3

Aww.. that must be why your pics have such sweet expressions. I wonder how original it is to use one's self as reference. It's impressive how you use traditional means, instead of digital to color. :)

O_O do i see EARTH TONES????

>_> anyways. lol it's just kinda refreshing, maybe also weirded out, to see earthy tones in the color. i don't feel like i'm watching "The Yellow Submarine" movie in this pic... >_>

i think this is the first time i really noticed brown and grey in a pic of yours. it kinda gives a funny fealing. but it feels more realistic because of it, and less of a trip. lol.

the folds in the clothing are really good. and you did a good job of letting the character look kinda floppy and lazzy sitting back, without it looking painfull and impossible. (some people make it looks like their lims shouldn't be able to streatch and bend that way, lol).

if there was anything i should say for you to work on, is learning formulas for body proportions. for example, unless you meant the hand to be huge, the hand size is gennerally (from thumb to pinky) the width of the characters face, and as high (wrist to top of middle finger) as from the chin to just over the eye brows. the length ends about halfway down the body, so the hands land, when straight, inbetween the knee and the hip bone. from there, you can measure how big each half of the arms should be and how it would bend (the reason i say this, is because the characters left arm seems really long, and the shoulder to elbow length is too long).

but other than the arm and hand, the coloring isn't as bright as it usually is, which is a nice change, and is very well done. i love the coloring to the shirt (the paterns on the shirt seem to be sensitive to the folds of the shirt which makes it very believable. ^_^ good job, and keep up the good work. i say really practice on anatamy. ^_^
